THE LOUISIANA DREAM

The Louisiana Dream overcame a slow beginning to remain undefeated in three tries at Prairie Meadows, taking the $27,250 Covered Bridges Stakes on Oct. 12.
Ridden by Francisco Giles, The Louisiana Dream raced in fifth position, but rallied strongly around the far turn of the 870-yard marathon and drew clear of the field in the stretch. The Louisiana Dream powered home to score by a commanding
2 1/2-lengths as the odds-on favorite, stopping the timer in :46.235 and earning an 89 speed index in the initial stakes win of his career. The gelding won his previous start at the same distance on Aug. 30 by 4 1/2-lengths.
Saddled by trainer Jose Barron, The Louisiana Dream is owned by Hugo Sierra Barron, Ronald Van Amburgh and Denise Van Amburgh. The win improved the his overall record to 16-4(1)-1-4(1) and the $14,500 winner’s share of the purse increased his earnings to $42,598.
J.E. Jumonville Jr. bred The Louisiana Dream out of winner In His Dreams, runner-up in the Denim and Diamonds Handicap. She has pro- duced 14 winners from 20 starters, including top earner Political Option, who won the Mr Jess Perry Louisiana Downs Stakes-RG3 and the Delta 550 Stakes where he set a New Track Record. The Louisiana Dream is her fifth stakes winner.
Stormin Jessie (Just Amazing Jess-I Belong To You TB) was second under rider Brett Birzer for owner and trainer Barbara McClelland.
Hollyhook (Game Patriot-Hollyhock TB was with third with Justin Shepherd aboard for owner/ trainer Matt Frazier.
Bout Tree Fiddy (Ivory James-Hollie Jollie), Snow Is Okay (Okey Dokey Dale-Pristine Snow), Blue Eyed Andy (Furtreeous-Flooz Baby) and Stilldontneednobody (Jess Louisiana Blue-Katiebug Driver) completed the order of finish.
Wild West Futurity
MS PATTY CAKE

The Fales family’s Fales Ranch is a major Quarter Horse operation in Arizona. So it was fitting that they had the first Arizona-bred, Ms Patty Cake,
to win the $117,150 Wild West Futurity at Los Alamitos in California on Oct. 27.
The Wild West Futurity trials were held Oct. 6, with favoritism going to fastest qualifier Senor Frogs. Jockey Jorge Bourdieu broke Ms Patty Cake out of the gate in second. They vied with Senor Frogs for the entire 350 yards, edging that rival by a head in :17.623, posting a 94 speed index.
Matthew Fales trains Ms Patty Cake for his parents, Ralph and Carolyn Fales. The filly broke her maiden in her Wild West Futurity trial after two thirds and a second.
The Fales bred Ms Patty Cake from out of winning homebred Shiftin. The mare has produced three winners in four starters. Ms Patty Cake is her first stakes winner and was one of three in the field by Texas Icon, who stands at Fales Ranch.
Jesus Ayala piloted Senor Frogs (Coronado Cartel-Nellie Soprano) to second place for owner Freddy Ibarra and trainer Lindolfo Diaz. Senor Frogs earlier this year won the Grants Pass Firecracker Futurity.
Gary and Jeralyn Messenger’s homebred Zoom On Jess (Jess Zoomin-Feature Miss Fame) finished third. Eduardo Nicasio rode the gelding for trainer Monty Arrossa. Zoom On Jess won this year’s Idaho Cup Futurity and The Plan Handicap.
Rounding out the field were La Reina Madre (Apollitical Jess-Madresita), Old School Icon
(Texas Icon-Cozie Fire), CM Singing The Blues (Inseperable-Cool Blue Corona), Fashin Icon (Texas Icon-Icebreaker), John Carter Cash (Carters Cartel- One Fast Trick), Goldie Hocks (Kiss My Hocks- Venus The Goddess) and Kiss Fast Zoom (Kiss My Hocks-Ms Fast Prize Zoom).

BH LISAS BOY

BH Lisas Boy, in winning the Oct. 13 Robert L. Boniface Invitational Championship-G1 at Los Alamitos, became the first horse to complete a
Los Alamitos Grade 1 grand slam—the Boniface, Go Man Go Handicap, Vessels Maturity, and Brad McKinzie Los Alamitos Winter Championship.
Already a special horse to Bill Hoburg, who bred, owns, and trains him, BH Lisas Boy has the chance to add a victory in the Champion of Champions-G1. He earned a berth in the Boniface.
Oscar Andrade Jr. was again aboard BH Lisas Boy for the 440-yard Boniface. Breaking outwardly and bumping at the start, BH Lisas Boy roared up and grabbed the lead to win by a neck in :21.409.
BH Lisas Boy was winning his 23rd race in 42 starts. He has 10 seconds and three thirds for total earnings of $921,053.
Hoburg bred BH Lisas Boy in Idaho from winner Apollo Snowbound. She has produced five winners in five starters, including Grade 1 winner Yin Your Eyes and stakes-placed BH Country Chrome.
Champion Tarzanito (Favorite Cartel-Ancient Empress) finished second for jockey Eddie Garcia. Yanet Rodriguez trains the 5-year-old horse for owner A1A Racing LLC.
Eduardo Nicasio piloted third-place Katies Easy Moves (Maknmoves-Katie Lane Finder) for trainer Monty Arrossa and owners Caballo Rapido LLC and Five Livestock Company LLC. Katies Easy Moves won this year’s Vessels Maturity.
Completing the field were He Looks Hot
