Mexican Futurity
REACHER 16

With eight 2 year olds bred in the United States, the 400-yard Mexican Futurity was held on Nov. 4 with the incentive of
a purse of $380,700 pesos (approximately $18,682 US dollars).
The previous achievements of the red filly Reacher 16 gave her preference at the betting box office, closing with odds of 1.45. At the start, Success Yal (#6) was obstructed because Here Comes Da Money (#5) broke outwards.
Meanwhile, Reacher 16 (#3) left with force and decision under the command
of José Ángel Ambrosio Medina, find-
ing a rivalry on her left from the gray filly Shadesofgreymagic (#1), who was making her best effort along the rail under the com- mand of Alejandro Gómez. Similarly, the large sorrel Tenayas Kid (#4) threatened on her right flank in his attempt to reach the lead. It was this trio that arrived at the fin- ish, with Reacher 16 in first by 1-length over Shadesofgreymagic, who barely stuck her nose in front of Tenayas Kid.
Reacher 16, a daughter of Inseperable out of Tinys Corona Queen (by Corona Cartel), closed out the distance in :19.55 for a 95 speed index, adding to her record a third triumph and first Classic in four starts. She also added $228,420 pesos ($11,209 US approx.) to her earnings account.
Members of Cuadra Victoria M. C. made their way to the winner’s circle to receive the corresponding recognitions, accompanied by trainer José Ravel Baltazar Aguilar.
Reacher 16 was imported from the United States after being sold for $4,700 at the Heritage Place Fall Mixed Sale in Oklahoma. She was bred and raised by James and Marilyn Helzer.
Shadesofgreymagic (Separatist-Jess Amy) captured second place for Cuadra Valeria with the assistance of rider Alejandro Gómez. She is trained by René Alan Rodríguez García.
Third place was won by the colt Tenayas Kid under Eddi Cuéllar for Cuadra Armadillo and trainer Marcos Tomás Méndez Renteral. He is the son of First Down Dash and out of Lady Tenaya.

Con ocho dos añeros criados en Estados Unidos y en distancia de 400 yar-
das, se realizó el Futurity Mexicano (Abierto) el 4 de Noviembre de 2018, que tuvo como incentivo una bolsa de $380,700 pesos ($18,682 US aproximadamente).

En su inicio fue notoria la obstrucción sufrida por Success Yal (6) debido a que Here Comes Da Money (5) partió hacia afuera, lo que definió su pobre desempeño competitivo.
Por el contrario, Reacher 16 (3) partió
con fuerza y decisión bajo el mando de José
Ángel Ambrosio Medina, encontrando cierta rivalidad a su izquierda por parte de la tordilla Shadesofgreymagic (1), que junto al riel hacía
su mejor esfuerzo bajo el mando de Alejandro Gómez. Igualmente, el corpulento alazán Tenayas Kid (4) amenazaba por el flanco derecho en su intento por dar alcance a las punteras. Fue este trío el que encabezó el arribo a la meta, con Reacher 16 en primero, a un largo de Shadesofgreymagic, que apenas metió la nariz delante de Tenayas Kid.
La hija de Inseperable en Tinys Corona Queen (por Corona Cartel) agotó la distancia en 19.55 segundos, para un SI de 95, llevando
a su récord el tercer triunfo y primer clásico en cuatro salidas, por el que agregó $228,420 pesos ($11,209 US aproximadamente) a su cuenta de ganancias.
Integrantes de la Cuadra Victoria M. C. pasaron al círculo de ganadores para recibir los reconocimientos correspondientes, acompa- ñados por el entrenador José Ravel Baltazar Aguilar.
La potranca fue importada de los Estados Unidos después de ser vendida
por $4,700 dólares en la Subasta Mixta de Oklahoma. Es crianza de Helzer James and Marilyn.
Shadesofgreymagic (Separatist – Jess Amy) capturó el segundo lugar para la Cuadra Valeria, con la asistencia de Alejandro Gómez. Es entrenada por René Alan Rodríguez García.
El tercer lugar lo obtuvo el potro Tenayas Kid, con su jinete Eddi Cuéllar, para la Cuadra Armadillo y el entrenador Marcos Tomás Méndez Renteral. Es hijo de First Down Dash en Lady Tenaya.
