Ms Esther earned her second graded stakes victory of the meet in the $40,299 AQHA Remington Park Distance Challenge-G3 on May 12.
Owned and trained by Jordan Baumann, Ms Esther covered 870 yards in :44.763 and posted a
104 speed index under jockey Andrew Samaniego. Her winning margin was a neck over Madewell. The Oklahoma-bred mare banked the $19,344 winner’s share of the purse and landed a berth in the $100,000 AQHA Distance Challenge Championship-G1 at Albuquerque Downs on Oct. 26.
Ms Esther has now won six of 10 starts and has earned $99,426. Her five wins from seven outs at the 870-yard distance include a head victory in the $50,000 Pauls Valley Stakes-G2 on April 4.
“She sure likes 870,” said Baumann. “I really didn’t know she would be this good. I just knew it would be fun running her at a distance, and that we would find a place for her that fit that.”
Ms Esther was bred by Duwyne and Janice Pfeifle out of winner Tres Down The Cash. The mare has produced 100% money earners from three starters, including stakes winner RKM Primed For Cash. Ms Esther is her second stakes winner and top money earner.
Madewell (Jess Jones-Streakin Peacock) finished in second under Daniel Torres for owners Ray L. Madewell and Davy Madewell and trainer Tammy Johnson.
Flight Force (One Famous Eagle-Modice) and Ricky Ramirez finished third for owners Scott Bryant and Joe Dee Brooks & trainer Mike Joiner.
Cjs Rockhard N Ready (Rock Solid Jess-Sultry Miss) ran fourth and was followed by Rock A Billy (Rock Solid Jess-Imaginiff), Jess A Hilbily Bone (Rock Solid Jess-Imaginiff), Cloud Ridge (Carters Cartel-Snow Clouds), and Bet I Make U Famous (One Famous Eagle-Lone Bet).

RELENTLESS GUN

Relentless Gun, a homebred gelding owned by Running C Ranch, was a prompt 5-2 favorite in the 350-yard $50,000 Easy Jet Stakes-RG3 for
Oklahoma-bred juveniles at Remington Park on June 1.
Ridden by Rolando Raudales for trainer Pedro Hernandez-Pulido, Relentless Gun defeated Wagons Dash by 1/2-length in :17.765. The bay gelding earned the $29,730 winner’s share of the $50,000 purse while scoring his second career stakes victory.
Raced exclusively at Remington Park, Relentless Gun has won two of four starts and has earned $76,460. The gelding’s resume includes a 1-length victory in the 330-yard $100,000 Remington Park Juvenile Stakes for Oklahoma-breds.
Relentless Gun is out of CF Smokin Gun, a win- ning 8-year-old daughter of 2001 Champion 2-Year- Old Colt Tres Seis. His second dam, the winning Strawflyin Buds mare CF Buds A Smokin, ran third in the 2004 Quicksilver Stakes at Remington Park.
Wagons Dash (PYC Paint Your Wagon-Breitling Time) banked $9,910 for owner James Sills of Cedar Hills, Texas. Justine Klaiber rode the bay gelding for trainer Eddie D. Willis.
Moxxy (Lota PYC-Strawfly Sister) ran third, a head behind Wagons Dash, for owners Robert Esqueda and Andrea M. Esqueda. Andrew Samaniego rode the homebred filly for trainer Robert Esqueda.
Shes Relentlesswagon (Hes Relentless-Sassie Wagon) ran fourth and was followed by Jess Vamoose (Mighty B Valiant-Jess Because I Could), Peves Eagleetta (Hes Relentless-PYC Eye Candy), Valiant Memorie (One Valiant Hero-Painted Memorie), DF Zookie Cookie (Hes Relentless-Tres Seis Folszookie), Eye Am A Fancy PYC (Im A Fancy PYC-Johns Party Girl) and El Chapoteo (Splash Bac- Kiptys First Kiss).

HOOKED ON A WIN

Daniel Torres rode Hooked On A Win to a 3/4-length win in the $72,500 Boyd Morris Memorial for Oklahoma-bred aged sprinters at
Remington Park on May 27.

Laymon, Hooked On A Win completed the 400 yards in :19.821 while racing against a 19-mph head wind. The gelding earned the $41,100 winner’s share of the purse while recording his sixth win in 17 starts.
The gelding was coming off of a 3rd-place finish, 1/2-length behind Political Attraction, in the 400- yard $108,000 Sooner State Stakes-RG1 on April 20.
Raced in Oklahoma and Iowa, Hooked On A Win has banked $122,253, and his two stakes victo- ries include last year’s Golden Driller Stakes at Fair Meadows at Tulsa.
JK Running Horses LLC bred Hooked On A Win out of 5-time winner Pretty Girl Kate, who
won the 2007 Kansas Bred Derby. She has produced 100% money earners from eight starters. Hooked On A Win is her second stakes winner and top earner.
Ferrari James (Ivory James-Ferarri Fast Prize) finished second and earned $13,700 for owner Alfredo Botello. Rodrigo Vallejo rode the 6-year-old gelding for trainer Manuel Mojica Campos.
Jose Ernesto Guzman’s Temptingsecretfly (Tempting Dash-Belle Of The Cartel) banked $7,535 for his third-place run under James Flores for trainer R.L. “Rick” Robinson.
First Of 15 (Apollitical Jess-Tinys Corona Queen) finished fourth and was followed by Bye Byefreighttrain (Freighttrain B-Bye Bye Bygones), Hot Dam Bam A Lam (Captain Courage-Hot Nova), Our Lady Wagon (PYC Paint Your Wagon- Little Kool Barbie), Racanteur (High Rate Of Return-Shanachee) and Apollitical Approach (Apollitical Jess-Panther Not A Kitty).
