FANCY PANTS DC

Fancy Pants DC maintained his perfect record with a victory in the $72,000 FL Lady Bug Stakes at Remington Park on May 27.
Ridden by Cody Smith for trainer Bill Goodnight and racing against a reported 19-mph head wind, Fancy Pants DC went 330 yards in :16.835, and his winning margin was a neck over Liarliar Hocksonfire.
The Oklahoma-bred gelding banked $41,700 from his third victory in as many outs for owner Shelley Coldwell Goodnight.
Fancy Pants DC was coming off of a neck win in the 330-yard $73,000 Laico Bird Stakes on April 20.
“I think he’s getting better,” said Smith, who also rode Fancy Pants DC in the Laico Bird Stakes. “I think he’s just going to keep getting better. (The Goodnights) have campaigned him perfectly. He’s done just right.”
“He’s easy to train all the way around,” said Bill Goodnight. “He’s just easy to do anything with.”
Raced exclusively at Remington Park, Fancy Pants DC has now earned $96,340.
Shelley bred Fancy Pants DC out of winner DC Cartel. She has produced five winners from six start- ers. Fancy Pants DC is her first stakes winner.
Liarliar Hocksonfire (Kiss My Hocks-Blazin Fire) rallied late and finished in second place for owners Jose Ernesto Guzman and Rito Sosa. James James Flores rode the sorrel gelding for trainer R.L. “Rick” Robinson.
MH Might B Leavin (Mighty B Valiant-Ladys Leavin You) and Jimmy Brooks were third owner Mary L. Hainline and trainer Eddie D. Willis.
Relentless Jessie (Hes Relentless-Jess A Queen), Clean Brew (Corona Cartel-Theslatesclean), Domishay (Dominyun-Salty Shay), Dyna Story (FDD Dynasty-Perry Story) and Moxxy (Lota PYC- Strawfly Sister) completed the order of finish.

WATAH FLASH

Lane and Sons Cattle Company’s Watah Flash was a prompt 5-2 favorite in the $55,250 Jack Brooks Stakes at Remington Park on May 27.
Racing against a reported 19-mph head wind, Watah Flash covered 350 yards in :17.622, surging late to pin a nose defeat over 9-2 second choice Tarish. Agustin Silva rode Watah Flash for trainer John Stinebaugh.
Watah Flash was acquired by his owner for $46,000 at the 2017 Heritage Place Yearling Sale.
Watah Flash was coming off of a second-place finish, 1 3/4-lengths behind winner and 2018 Champion 2-Year-Old Gelding Apocalyptical Jess, in the $289,975 Remington Park Derby-RG3 on April 20. Watah Flash has now won two of 10 outs, and the $32,880 winner’s share of the purse from his first stakes win boosted his earnings to $139,238. Watah Flash was also a finalist in two graded futurities
last year, including the $864,500 Remington Park Futurity-RG2.
Steve Holt bred Watah Flash out of winner Lotawatah. She has produced 100% money earners from 11 starters, including top money earner Lota PYC, winner of the 2012 Remington Park Oklahoma Bred Futurity. Watah Flash is her third stakes winner.
Daniel Torres rode Tarish (Prospect To The Top-Fast Prize Zoom) to second for owner J. Lloyd Yother and trainer Dee Keener. Mister Lewie Memorial-G1
DTL SAMUREYE

Almada Racing’s DTL Samureye ran his win streak to six with his wire-to-wire victory in the $35,700 Mister Lewie Memorial Stakes-G1 at Remington Park on May 17.
Ridden by Jesse Levario and racing against a reported 19-mph head wind, DTL Samureye went 400 yards in :19.692 while defeating Bully Pulpit by a clear 1 1/4-lengths. Conditioner Josue Ponce prepped the sorrel 4-year-old gelding.
DTL Samureye made his season debut with a 1 1/4-length win in the 350-yard $26,100 Paul Harber Memorial Stakes on April 12.
Dean and Tonya Lester bred DTL Samureye out of lightly raced Eysa Savvy Queen, who was a final- ist in the 2005 Oklahoma Horsemen’s Association Paint & Appaloosa Futurity-G2. She has produced 100% money earners from six starters. DTL Samureye is her first stakes winner.
Campaigned in Oklahoma and Texas, the gelding has won nine of 14 starts, and was named Champion 3 Year Old and Champion 3-Year-Old Gelding last year. The $21,312 winner’s share of the purse from his fifth stakes score increased his earn- ings to $112,577.
4-time Champion Bully Pulpit APHA (CRM Livewire-Judys Apollo) banked $7,104 for his owners, Dan and Kaye Jones. Cody Smith rode the Oklahoma- bred 4-year-old gelding for trainer Matt Whitekiller.
Ima Real Livewire APHA (CRM Livewire- Ima Stormy Valentine) ran third under Jose Vega, 2 1/2-lengths behind DTL Samureye, for owner Carole Vann Stacy and trainer Michelle Hurdle.
Jess Cuz ApHC (Freighttrain B QH -Jess Streakin), PHQ Goodbye Earl APHA (Awesome Chrome-Sayonara), Son Of A Grip APHA (Iteska Boy-Girls Got Grip) and Ruthies Hotrod APHA (CRM Livewire-First Down Rose) completed the order of finish.
