FBF COMMUNICATIONS
Golf Influencers/Ambassadors
• As we know, influencer marketing is a huge phenomenon and has the ability, using the
right influencer for the right product to reach a wider audience than any newspaper or
magazine can in one short burst
• There are many ‘influencers’ and those with credibility in the golf space that are currently
underutilised by golf resorts
• By including these influencers in our golf media days, or by inviting separately for a fam
stay or to simply play a round with pals, we want these influencers to become ‘friends’ of
the Druid’s Glen brand and family and to help with the building of excitement in the run up
to launch
• Given the new age of younger golfers, digital marketing, influencers, bloggers, You tubers
etc. are gaining credibility for influencing the decisions of their followers…
• We would utilise the existing relationships with your ambassadors James Ryan, Josh Van
der Flier and Jacqui Hurley, whilst looking at other influencers / ambassadors that can
bring a digital first approach
• FBF would work with the team at Druid’s Glen to devise a list of influencers that we feel
best suits the brand (being mindful of budget as we know influencer marketing can be
expensive). We can look at Irish and International influencers and if they have a role to play
in boosting the reputation of the Druid’s Glen brand.
• For example, Jess Redden @jessredden1 has really helped to bring women in golf along
this past year as she documents her journey as a beginner and getting started with golf
and she speaks regularly about its addictive nature and how she’d like to set up groups for
women to play more golf together
• Jess’s husband Rob Kearney and his ruby colleagues, in particular Ian Madigan who
engages regularly with the Druid’s Glen Instagram account
