ABSTRACT

The use of Electronic management has influenced the continuous improvement of
active safety in automotive braking mechanisms and stability. In order to analyze

comparatively the devices, components, performance, potential failures, maintenance,

as well as describe the different ways of management, it has been necessary to
compile information from those created by Bosch Company, from antilock braking

system (ABS) to electronic stability programs (ESP). Through this analysis, the ABS
improvement is shown so as to obtain a system that weighs 16% of the first model

and responds in 50% less time. It also determined that the development and mission

of the components, its diagnosis accessible through scanner and its easy maintenance,
produce an improvement in the safety and installation of these systems, resulting in a

positive degree of influence on the vehicle fleet of Cuenca, with 88.4% of vehicles
equipped which corresponds to the last decade.
