Our Footprint
From 2002 until today, the Regional Directorate of Education has shown
a high level of participation in actions and development of innovations, trying
to become means of achieving its goal and objectives.
The actions - Our Innovations
The 1st Regional Mathitiada: co-
organized with the Region.
Directorate of Eastern Macedonia - Thrace, the Municipality of Komotini and
the Municipality of Kavala, for the first time in the geographical area of the
Region of Eastern Macedonia-Thrace in collaboration with the Democritus
University of Thrace, the TEI of Kavala, the Regional Police Department of
Eastern Macedonia - Thrace, the XXI THT, the Port Authority of Kavala and
the Regional Union of Municipalities Eastern Macedonia – Thrace. The event
took place in two cities, in Komotini, at the SEFAA area of the Democritus
University of Thrace, on Wednesday 3 and Thursday 4 May, and in Kalamitsa,
Kavala, on Friday, May 5, as far as water sports are concerned.
The purpose of the event was to spread the educational message
"without the fear of failure and the anxiety of victory" to all students of the
Region, in order to "educate" themselves in the principles of "fair play" and
the authentic values of the Olympic Games, to get to know and respect
