The Community Club of Preston adjusted its meeting format
in order to continue to hold meetings during the COVID-19 Hair Design
pandemic. Club members met via Zoom on April 21, and May
19. During the April meeting, club members voted to donate
funds to Katie Mae’s Restaurant in Preston, to help cover the
cost of meals for first responders, and to donate to the meal

May meeting, the names of the recipients of the Community Appointments Stylists: Ann Draper &
Club’s college scholarships for Colonel Richardson High School Appreciated Lisa Young (Murray)
seniors were announced. Rachael Bassford, Jackson Miller, Walk-Ins Welcome
and Matthew Wilkison were each awarded $500 scholarships. Over 30 years combined experience

In April, Little Free Library #37123, maintained by the Commu-
nity Club of Preston and housed under the pavilion at the James
T. Wright Memorial Park in Preston, was removed from the
park in response to the COVID-19 concerns. In an eff ort to

help books find their way back into the community, children’s River Run Cruises
books from the Little Free Library’s storage were distributed at
