FLAGS for HEROES
The Denton Rotary Club celebrated its eighth annual Flags for Heroes
memorials for Veteran’s Day. One flag memorial was located on the
Caroline County Courthouse Green. The other was at the exit from
Rt 404 entering Denton.
Flags for Heroes is a unique opportunity for our community members to
honor their personal heroes - whoever they are... a family member; a
friend; a veteran; a member of the armed services; a favorite teacher; a
police officer; a firefighter or any other person who has made in impact
on their lives by sponsoring these flags.
The proceeds of the donations will go to the Denton Rotary’s Community Fund for projects in Caroline County;
including Caroline County ‘s Imagination Library run by the Caroline County Public Library and partners, Denton
Boy Scout Troop 165, Denton Little League, Wells for Ghana, and the annual Rotary Youth Career Fair for 10th
graders at the General James F. Fretterd Community Center.
The Denton Rotary thanks the following community members and businesses who sponsored flags to honor their
