            open at 12:30. Music begins at 1 PM with the house band, the
            “Kitchen Pickers”. The Blue Daze set starts at 2 PM. Admission

            is $15 and is open to the public.

            Although three of the five members have been making music
            since 1990, each has their own musical resumes. Chuck Van
            Meter’s guitar playing has been characterized by national
            bluegrass critics as “powerfully rhythmic with dazzling solos”.
            His songwriting and vocals are the hallmark of the Blue Daze

            sound and he readily claims the stylistic influence of bluegrass
            “great”, Tony Rice.
            Mandolin player Lenny Whitehead’s musical career began as
            a teenager sitting in at his Dad’s Saturday Night jam sessions.
            Lenny sings lead and tenor in the band’s trio vocals and is
            known for his compelling mandolin breaks. Multi-instru-

            The concert is produced by the Eastern Shore Bluegrass
            Association (ESBA), a not-for-profit association of volun-
            teers committed to promoting and supporting this American
            music. ESBA is more than 50 years old and the Sunday, April
            14 concert is one of nine monthly performances, typically the
