Robert Karge played in various bands locally in the early
1970’s, including Buckwheat Jones, and then began perform-
ing overseas with groups, Stonehenge in 1977 and Free Arbor
Press from 1978 until 1980, both bands being based in RAF
Alconbury, Cambridgeshire, England.

Gail Karge’s musical performing origins were with Band On
The Strand from 1976 until 1978. Gail was a founding member

of the group, Harvest, which was formed in 1978, and had
much local success. Robert joined Harvest when he returned
to the area from military service in 1982 and met and married

Gail. They continued with Harvest until 1988.
