Overall, the economy has grown
Overall, the economy of the Gambia, measured by Gross Domestic Product (GDP)
has grown considerably since 2010 (See Figure 1 below). This growth, while appreciated,
has bee insufficient and constrained due to several factors – some of which are unpacked
in the next sections.
