80th Midwest Regional Conference

Greetings Sorors,

Mighty Midwest Region, I salute you! In these unprecedented times of
racial unrest, social injustice, unemployment, and a global pandemic, we
continue to persevere! As educators, we must teach, stay informed,
adjust, and re-teach again. We also have the special talent of being able to
reach back and pull our students forward.

Well, it is conference time! A time where we look forward to seeing our
fellow sisters and sharing our teaching chronicles for the year. This year,
we will virtually celebrate our 80 Anniversary for the Midwest Region.

Our Regional theme, “Every Soror Participate through Extraordinary
Service in Education” is a reminder of what we were called to do. Every
day we put our best efforts forward to achieve the highest ideals of the teaching profession; Teach One-
Reach One! As our conference theme has set the tone for sorors to
continue, “Pursuing Exemplary Service Through a Global Society.” We are
One Region, One Sisterhood! As all the Regions connect, we are “One
Organization, One Sisterhood!

Sorors, let us keep up the great work of the Mighty Midwest Region.
Continue to participate with community outreach. Continue to showcase
the sorority through our literacy initiatives. You have done an exemplary
job! Through our efforts and dedication, we are making a difference for

the next generation of educators!

Sorors, again I say thank you for all that you do. Thank you for the hard
work of this Illustrious organization of educators, National Sorority of Phi Delta Kappa, Inc. One
Region-One Sisterhood!
