National Sorority of Phi Delta Kappa, Inc.
"To Foster a Spirit of Sisterhood Among Teachers and to Promote the Highest Ideals of the Teaching Profession"
80th Midwest Regional Conference
Greetings!
I consider it an honor and a privilege to participate as your Guest Past Supreme Basileus on
th
the occasion of the 80 Anniversary Midwest Regional Virtual Conference. The world’s
dilemma has challenged us to broaden our horizons as we convene to conduct the business
of the National Sorority of Phi Delta Kappa, Incorporated virtually. It proves that you are
committed to lifelong learning and advancement to greater heights as you implement the
mission and purpose of NSPDK, Inc.
Please join me in extending congratulations and appreciation to Tiffany M. Pritchett, Midwest Regional
Director, the Midwest Region Officers, Dr. Cynthia Warren, Basileus Alpha Nu Chapter, Regional Committee
Chairs and Chapters for their hard work and diligent efforts in planning a virtual conference which promises
to be educationally stimulating, memorable and fun for all attendees and participants. Your work on behalf of
NSPDK, Inc., as well as the children and adults in the communities you serve has continued to be a source of
inspiration and encouragement to all members of our organization. It is during times of challenge and social
conflict that educators are called upon to stand strong and provide for our children. Who better than the
women of the National Sorority of Phi Delta Kappa, Inc. to achieve these tasks with grace and dignity?
The Theme: “Pursuing Exemplary Service Through a Global Society” is in concert with our national focus on
continuing to pursue excellence and service through education. I look forward to participating in sororal
business sessions and hearing about the exemplary programs and initiatives of the Midwest Region. I especially
look forward to the Vital Issues session as educators discuss the social and emotional impact the pandemic
has on educators returning to the classroom.
Your virtual attendance at this conference affirms your support of, belief in and commitment to the National
Sorority of Phi Delta Kappa, Inc. and your zeal for lifelong learning and personal and professional growth.
We will all benefit from this experience, but more importantly, those we serve will be the true benefactors as
we spread the good news about what is great about who we are and what we do.
Continue to support this organization through your community service efforts and leadership. May God
continue to bless you as you serve on behalf of children, families, and the communities, especially during times
such as these.
With sincere appreciation and respect,
Charlotte M. Williams
