THINGS TO REMEMBER:

Be on time so that the presiding officer can begin on time.

In making a motion, begin with: “I move” and not with “I make a motion”.

When making a motion, identify yourself and your chapter.

When a motion is made, it will need a second or it dies on the floor.

Call for the vote, stops all discussion and the vote should be taken.

If you think something is being done incorrectly, say, “I rise to a point of

order” or “I rise to a point of information”.
