About this Resource
The goals
The goal of this resource is to highlight the five
principles of learner-centered teaching and provide
concrete strategies for guiding students to gauge
and engage with knowledge. While many of the
suggestions will not work in all classrooms, many
can be adapted to fit the requirements of your
course.
Sources
This resource is guided by the principles of learner-
centered teaching as outlined by Maryellen Weimer
(2002) in her book Learner-Centered Teaching: Five
Key Changes to Practice.
