Bulletin boards, the publication of LibNews and tarpaulin printing for some related activities are
                       being maintained for greater awareness and promotion on library matters;


                       Statistical  records  of  users  and  usage  of  resources  is  always  maintained.    Starting  from  the
                       entrance door for the daily attendance of students down to the staff inside attending to what
                       type of reference material they are using;

                       A regular shelf-reading is being done by all reference staff in order to assess the status of the
                       physical condition of the books and eventually take the necessary action;


                       Reader’s guidance particularly in looking for information materials thru OPAC SYSTEM AND the
                       user of STARBOOKS and access of digital resources;

              LIBRARY SET-UP

                              The library occupies a total of 221 sq. m. floor area which can accommodate about 150
                        students at a time. The library is divided into 3 sections: the Circulation Section, Periodicals/
                        Theses and Internet Section and the Reading Area occupies the biggest space in the library.The
                        new 3 storey library is almost to finish so the library can transfer anytime.

             OTHER PROVISIONS


                              The library has a Baggage Counter manned by student assistants. This is where students
                        entering the Library deposit their bags and other bulky belongings.

                        We only store software (CD-ROMs) for use by students through their respective professors. All
                        the necessary equipment’s except computers are available from the AVR Room located in the
                          nd
                        1  floor of the  COE building.

             TECHNOLOGY UTILIZATION IN LIBRARY OPERATION SUCH AS:
                       INTEGRATED LIBRARY SYSTEM

                       To  modernize  the  library,  automation  of  library
               services has  been initiated through the installation of the
               IFSU Customized Integrated Library Management System
               (ICILMS)  in  2009.  The  system  has  three  modules:  the
               OPAC,  Circulation  desk  and  Cataloguing  module.  These
               modules are fully functional to facilitate location and
               retrieval of books.
