2 nd Annual Leesburg Recreation Scholarship Golf Tournament
The Leesburg Recreation Scholarship golf tournament raises money to support the Leesburg Recreation Department scholarship
program. The City of Leesburg Parks & Recreation Department strives to make our programs affordable for everyone. The LRD
scholarship program has allowed many to enjoy programs that may not otherwise be able to.
Lunch, golf, golf carts, range balls and light snacks at the conclusion of the 18 holes are included. Sponsorships are available at
$100 per hole or a package that includes a hole sponsor and a foursome for $300. Come out and enjoy a day on the links while
supporting the youth of Leesburg.

Yoga in The Square
Yoga in the Square
NEW PROGRAM! Yoga in the Square is here in Leesburg! The Leesburg Recreation Department and Evolve Yoga & Fitness have
partnered to offer a weekly Yoga in the Square program. Classes are held every Saturday morning at 10:30am in Towne Square of
Downtown Leesburg. Classes are FREE to attend! Bring your own yoga mat and water. Extra mats are available for those without
a mat. These one-hour classes will be instructed by certified yoga instructors from Evolve Yoga & Fitness of Downtown Leesburg.
This is a program for students who are new to yoga, as well as those who want to grow their practice from a strong foundation of
postural alignment & skillful breathing. All shapes, sizes, ages, and abilities are welcome in this class.
Voluntary donations will be accepted for a LOCAL non-profit organizations each class.
Dog Obedience Classes
Dog Obedience Classes
The Leesburg Recreation Department and Sit and Stay LLC have partnered to offer dog obedience classes. Sit and Stay LLC. will be
offering 3 types of Dog training. Better Manners I - basic training, Basic Manners II – helps reinforce training form Better Manners
I as well as adding some more commands, Advanced Obedience classes. Our next series may include a puppy class if we get
enough interest. Classes run 6 week sessions on Saturday mornings 9am – 10am, at the Leesburg Shuffleboard Courts (321 S.
Palmetto St). Sessions are $99 per dog. Dogs must be 6 months of age and have proper shot records. To register call the
Recreation office at (352)728-9885. Class sessions begin January 12, March 2, April 13, and October 5. Additional sessions may be
added in the future, please call the Recreation Office for more details.
