INDIVIDUAL APPLICATION PORTAL UPDATES
In 2017, the OPTA began accepting continuing education applications from sponsors and individuals online through the OPTA portal. Since 2017, over 10,700 sponsor applications and 1,000 individual applications have been submitted and reviewed.
LIST OF OHIO APPROVED COURSES
The OPTA webpage of Ohio Approved CE Courses has been updated to help you determine if a course you
took is already approved – or denied – for continuing education. Approved courses are listed from most recent (2021) to oldest (2017). A list of courses that have gone through the review process and the content deemed not applicable to the practice of physical therapy are listed on the Denied Course List. All lists are updated Friday afternoon; if you don’t see a course on either list, it could be pending review or was approved/denied since the last update. Contact the OPTA office at ceapps@ohiopt.org or 614-855-4109 to inquire about a specific course
of interest.
ONLINE CE CATALOG
Interested in taking some courses on Yoga? Pain Management? Sports? Women’s health or geriatrics?
The OPTA has an online catalog of over 45 titles – all approved for CEUs – that you can watch as your schedule allows. Lunch & Learn webinars are included in the catalog as well as the Virtual LEAP: Fall 2020 conference and a few district-sponsored webinars. Most courses
run 60 minutes and we offer five bundles – each with three one-hour webinars – packaged on a theme and at a reduced price over buying each title individually. Go online to see what we offer!
You worked hard to earn your license! You work hard to keep your license! Use our continuing education resources to make sure that your CEUs have Ohio approval. If you have any questions about continuing education requirements, courses, renewal cycles, or any other continuing education-related topic, contact us; we’re happy to help.

In the portal’s first major update, new features have been added – to make the process of submitting
an application more streamlined and easier to understand. Links to instructions for completing an application have been updated and new screens added to better assist you in completing an application for a course you took – either for CEUs or academic credit; to help you earn teaching CEUs; or if you authored a publication.
