TURNING TTI SUCCESS INSIGHTS’ ASSESSMENTS INTO . . .

                   • Reflect on their handshake, whether it’s gentle or firm, and
the tone and volume of their voice.

                   • Note their hand gestures, whether they are frequent or sparse.
                   • Observe their dining habits: do they stick to familiar choices
or explore new options? Do they prefer traditional items or

                       the latest trends?

These observations will provide valuable insights into their behav-
ioral style and preferences, aiding you in tailoring your interactions
to build stronger, more understanding relationships.

               Listen Carefully, Actively, and Compassionately

Active listening is a critical skill, especially when engaging with cus-
tomers, employees, or during job interviews. Yet, often the urge to

impress with our knowledge overshadows the customer’s needs and
input. Reflect on your listening habits by considering the following:

                   • Do you consistently allow others to finish speaking without

                       interruption?
                   • Are you truly attentive, or are you already formulating your

response while the other person is still talking?

                   • During meetings, especially remote ones, are you fully pres-
ent or dividing your attention with other tasks?

                   • Do you engage with questions to deepen understanding, or
do you tend to make declarative statements?

                   • Compare your speaking volume to that of the person you’re
conversing with; is there a balance?

                   • How do you handle the questions posed by others? Are your

                       responses thoughtful and considerate?
