v Hong Kong provides important habitats for rare species – such as Chinese White Dolphin, Spoon-billed Sandpiper and the endemic Bogadek’s Burrowing Lizard;
v Other species first discovered here and named after Hong Kong include the Hong Kong Camellia, Hong Kong Balsam and Hong Kong Newt;
v Globally threatened species found here are: Romer’s Tree Frog, Three- banded Box Turtle, Chinese Pangolin and Indo-Pacific Finless Porpoise.
