One day morning in winter I went for a walk along the sea shore. It was a cold day and the
beach was deserted. At the end of the beach, I was sitting down to rest when a small white cat
suddenly appeared and lay down at my feet. I stroked its head and it leaned back to my feet.
When I started to walk home, It followed me and I could not get of it. It had a collar on,
but there was no name on the collar, so when I got home I rang up the nearest police-station. I told
the sergeant in charge that I had found a small white cat, and that I would keep it until its owner
claimed it. I gave him my name and address.
Two days later a lady came to my house to claim the cat. She said she had lost it because
it hated riding in cars, and on that Sunday it had jumped out of the open window of her car without
her noticing it. She offered me Rp 500.000,00, but of course I refused to take any money. She
called the cat "Scotty" and it followed her as obediently as it had followed me. I was quite sorry to
lose such a friendly little animal.

The text tells about an experience of someone finding a cat. He was walking along the seashore
when a cat appeared. The cat followed him to his house. The writer kept it until someone claimed

it. The text that tells about experience is called recount text. Here we’ll discuss further about

               recount text.

                     Title Holiday in Australia

Orientation I really enjoyed my holiday in Australia. Last Sunday I visited
a marine park called Sea world which is at Surfers' Paradise
                     • Who near Brisbane. It's Australia's largest marine park and I had a

                                              wonderful day there.

Sequence of The first thing I saw was the Oceanorium where you can

events watch all sorts of sea fish and animals under water. There
were huge turtles, sharks and beautiful tropical sea fish.
The most exciting thing was watching a man feeding the

sharks. He wore a special diving suit. Then, I watched the
performance of sea animals. The show was in a big outdoor

swimming pool. There were "killer" whales, dolphins and
sea lions, and they did all sorts of fantastic things in the

water. One of the girls in the show rode around the pool on
the back of a killing whale, and another girl rode
underwater in the back of a big turtle. After the show, I had
lunch. There were several big restaurants at the park and I
had lunch in a restaurant that was shaped like a ship! Then,
I watched a wonderful water-ski show which was held on

                                                 a lake.
