Announcement Text

Announcement is statement made to the public of to the media which gives information about
something that has happened or will happen. People use announcements for many reasons. Some

announcements that people write include public service, school, engagement, wedding, birth,

business, job promotion, retirement, funeral, etc.
An announcement should be direct and concise. It should be understood easily and quickly by the

listeners or the readers.
Parts of announcement are:

• Head (the title or type of event)

• Body or content (date, place, program, etc)
• Closing (for more information,…)

• Writer (someone or an institution who makes the announcement)

An example of an announcement:

COMMISION OF ELECTION ANNOUNCEMENT

What:

• Registration of new voters
• Reactivation of registration
• Transfer of registration

• Correction of entries of change of name
• Inclusion of registration records

• Reinstatement of name in the list of voters

When:

• 28 February to 2 March 2025

• 8am to 4 pm

• Municipality where you reside
