competitions, etc. were organised daily. On average, about 8-10 schools were invited to visit the activity corners/exhibition and participate in different competitions. The stall was visited by more than five to seven thousand people per day. A considerable section of the people visiting the Mela belonged to the tribal community from the nearby districts and villages.
Participation in 23rd National Science Exhibition, Kolkata
Vigyan Prasar participated in 23rd National Science Exhibition, Kolkata, from 28-31 August 2019, organised by Central Calcutta Science & Cultural Organization for Youth. A large number
of students attended the exhibition. VP’s publications were showcased at the exhibition.
Apoorva Vigyan Mela-2019
‘Association for Research & Training in Basic Science Education Nagpur’ has been organiszing ‘Apoorva Vigyan Mela’ every year in Nagpur since 1998. For the year 2019, the mela was organised in collaboration with Nagpur Municipal Corporation-NMC, from 27 November to 1 December 2019 at the ground of Rashtrabhasha Bhavan, Nagpur. During the Mela, a science quiz was conducted by Vigyan Prasar.
