  Underwater Domain Awareness Summer School
Vigyan Prasar was the partner in the Underwater Domain Awareness Summer School organised by Vijnana Bharati, Mumbai and Maritime Research Centre, Pune. It lasted six weeks from 11 June to 20 July 2019. The first four weeks of the programme was in Mumbai and the last two weeks in Goa. In Mumbai, the programme was primarily classroom sessions with few outdoor activities, whereas the Goa phase was mainly field based with few orientation classroom lectures. In Mumbai, the programme was also supported by the University of Mumbai while in Goa, Babasaheb Ambedkar Technology University and Goa University were the main partners.
The main objective of this summer school was knowledge enhancement, upskilling and encouraging thinking abilities through research and analysis among youngsters to address the aspect of safe, secure and sustainable growth in the maritime region. The domain experts from all over India interacted with the participants and guided them.
    Several hands-on activities on science and technology were organised for children during week-long programme Science Fusion
induce an interdisciplinary, integrated approach to science learning through experimentation; and iii) to inculcate scientific temper among children through hands-on activities. Total 70 children from NCR-region participated in the programme. In this programme, kits (robotics) and experiments were demonstrated/performed by the children.
