VP has been committed in creating scientific awareness through various communication products, inculcating scientific temper, nurturing critical thinking amongst citizens of the country through Indian languages including local dialects. Notable includes newsletters, radio & video programmes, poster exhibitions, books, DIY kits, folk media and much more. VP is the only organization that continues to produce S&T communication programmes in dialects such as Kokborok, Gondi and Bhili many more. VP has been reaching out to the specified target groups through need-based S&T communication & intervention.
Committed to S&T Communication for every strata of the society
VP has been actively engaged in the inclusion of every strata of the society that includes, women, Divyangjan, Tribals, people from remote and geographically inaccessible regions for S&T communication, popularization & extension. Notable includes Women Technology Parks, development of Braille Books & a number of related compendium & manuals etc.
Recipient of National & International Awards & Accolades
VP and people associated have carried out yeomen service in the area of S&T Communication, Popularization & Extension. Notable include the UNESCO Kalinga award in Science Popularization, National Science Popularization Award, Indira Gandhi Prize for Science Popularization of Science, Atmaram Award for Popular Science Book writing and many more.
