Family Food Feast Campaign in Drum, You and Kuier
A digital and print campaign in Drum, You and Kuier will be launched on 25th June, with the objective of placing a real focus on the valuable part pork meals can play when planning family meals or cooking for groups of people. The campaign will include competition- and newsletter elements in addition to supplying a selection of delicious pork recipes and photos.
Pork Hub Coming on Food24
The first digital campaign flighted for SA Pork on the Food24 platform in 2020 was so successful that negations were concluded to create a special section for SA Pork on the Food24 platform, SA’s most searched food library. The benefit of this is that Pork will have a prominent, visible tab on the Food24 search bar, placing it in the attention window of consumers who search for recipes. The first trial stage is planned for 1st August 2021.
SAPPO Part of SAITA Initiative
The SA Informal Traders Association (SAITA) is a newly formalized organisation with the aim to assist with building bridges between first world businesses and informal traders. Their Economic Development Forum also aims to empower millions of currently jobless South Africans over the next 5 years by providing stimulation and assistance in the creation of micro-businesses. SAPPO is nurturing close links with SAITA with the objective of gaining a wealth of knowledge about how pork is traded by thousands of informal traders.
Landbouweekblad Boerekos Inspires English Publication
The winter issue of Landbouweekblad Boerekos is currently on shelf and is selling out fast.
SA Pork is again featuring prominently in this issue with a selection of satisfying winter recipes. The success of Landbouweekblad Boerekos has resulted in an English version called Country Cooking to be launched at the end of September. Country Cooking will have similar, but different English content.
Minki Chats About SA Pork for the 4th Time
Another insert which includes SA Pork on the popular TV chat show “Minki gesels” will be flighted on VIA TV on 14 June. A copy of this episode is included in this report.
