COMMUNICATION REPORT
PORCUS
Our survey to determine who still wants to receive a printed copy of Porcus indicated that about 90% of respondents still want to receive the printed version. We are however able to trim our mailing list and reduce printing and distribution costs. We will have four printed copies of Porcus in future.
We are also investigating new ways to distribute the magazine instead of the post office. We are investigating distribution by the genetic companies and veterinarians to their clients is.
New Digital Publication
We will introduce a new digital SAPPO publication later this year. In future, we will have two such digital publications a year. This will not be a digital Porcus, but an entirely different publication with different content than that of Porcus.
SAPPO News
There will again be 11 issues of SAPPO News this year.
SAPPO'S Weekly Update
We had 14 SAPPO Weekly Updates so far this year. The updates receive between 400 and 500 views every week.
SAPPO InfoHub
The infohub is updated every week with 11 new articles. The infohub received 28 120 views between 1 January and 31 May this year.
Function For Advertisers
We plan a digital meeting with input suppliers later this year to launch the new digital SAPPO publication and to introduce advertising opportunities.
Networking With The Media
We plan to invite a few media friends to SAPPO’s offices later this year to introduce them to the new SAPPO digital publication.
