Compensation Committee
This committee officially known as the Risk Mitigation and Compensation Committee (RMCC) was set up via The NAHF to address issues around compensation after disease outbreaks.
A development has been establishment of a Community of Practice headed by Dr John Grewar. Primary objectives of the CoP is research into Risk & Hazard identification for agriculture with a focus on Zoonoses (public health). Much of what they will do are internal objectives and functions that SAPPO is and will undertake through the appointment of our new vet who will focus on One Health.
Role and objectives of the RMCC is unclear to the members of the committee.
Animal Identification Registration and Traceability (Airt)
The IT and database issues at DALRRD section handling re-issue of certificates is ongoing.
New registrations /certificates are still being done.
