Long Lines Cafeteria
The Director
Julia Roberts
In recent days, the lunch, dinner hours have been very full, and the
employees are getting behind in their work areas. This report is an
analyze of the problem and includes suggestions for some possible
solutions.
The problem, these days we have observed that a large number of
employees line up in the cafeteria and that the cooks take five to
ten minutes to provide them with their foods, this causes their break
time to be reduced, their food to get cold, the cafeteria to get
full and join other shifts and even when the meal is finished, they
take time to make to make the next meal for the other shifts.
Sometimes few workers do not take their break with food.
In order to have fast break, we have several suggestions that could
benefit not only the workers but also their arrival times after the
break and not to saturate the cafeteria.
a) Hire more cooks for the preparations and employees for the
delivery of these, that way the cooks will not have double
work or be pressured or come to delay.
b) Include healthy food vending machines to replace these
meals, for employees who choose to do so and are not forced
to stand in line if they are in a hurry.
The food department is an important part and we believe is should be
more efficient a good performance depends largely on the food given
to the worker; a well-fed employee is a prepared employee.
