Minimum Requirement for Pile Load Test Acceptance Settlement Criteria

• Maintain Load Test (MLT): • For pile load test, based on JKR Standard Specification For Building Works 2014,
– 1% of the total pile points or 2 nos per pile size /pile type, whichever is higher Clause 2.9.6.3:

• Pile Dynamic Analyzer (PDA):  The total settlement (δ ) under Working Load (WL) ≤ 12.5mm; or
WL
– 3% of the total pile points for normal ground condition; and
– 7% for erratic ground condition  The total settlement (δ 2xWL ) under twice the working load (2*WL) ≤ 38.0mm or

10% of pile diameter / width whichever is the lower value; or

Pile Type Duration After Driven  The residual settlement (δ residual ) after removal of the test load at working load ≤

[(dia. of pile or diagonal width for non-circular pile /120) + 4]mm or 12.5mm

End Bearing Pile 7 days whichever is the lower value.

Combination of end bearing & skin friction
pile 14 days

Friction pile, borepile and micropile 28 days
