he presence of enzymes in soils are of great importance. They catalyze
numerous biochemical reactions important in the cycling some nutrient
elements such as C, N, S, and P in the soil – plant system. As shown
previously in Fig. 1.1, the presence of soil enzymes may accelerate the
transformation of nutrient elements packed in the organic structures to inorganic
