               Dear Janet:

Your Medicare evaluation is enclosed. Please check the information on the client data sheet on
page 5 to make sure it is correct. In most cases, the costs shown in your evaluation are
estimates for the 2021 plan year, although you will be enrolled for only the last five months of
               the year.

Since you are already receiving your Social Security payments, you will be automatically
enrolled in Medicare Part A and Part B. You should get your Medicare card in the mail
sometime in May or early June, and it will indicate that your Part A and Part B coverage will
begin on August 1. You will get Part D when you enroll in one of the Medicare Advantage plans
               in your evaluation.

If you do not receive your Medicare card by the second week of June, you might call Social
Security at (800) 772-1213 to verify your enrollment and ask when you will receive your
Medicare card. Beginning in July, Social Security will deduct $148.50 from your monthly checks
to pay for your Part B premiums. For the last five months of this year, you will pay a total of
               $742.50 in Part B premiums.

               Your supplemental coverage options

You indicated on your questionnaire that you want to enroll in a Medicare Advantage plan,
which is one of the two types of supplemental coverage available to people who do not have
employer-sponsored retiree health plans. The other type is a Medigap policy, which needs to be
combined with a stand-alone drug plan. Even though you are not going to get a Medigap policy,
it might help to understand how they differ from Advantage plans.

               The basics of Medigap policies

Medigap policies typically have much higher premiums than do Advantage plans (Medigap
premiums are shown on pages 6-7 of the evaluation). The main reason for the high Medigap
premiums is that their coverage is more comprehensive than Advantage plans’ coverage (at
least that’s true for the most popular Medigap plans). With a comprehensive Medigap plan,
