INWARD TRANSFORMATION
strengthen your faith. It will grow if you keep at it. It
requires disciple. Unless we truly believe we will not
accomplish much in step three if we even get that far.
3. ACTION
We must act on our faith. Knowledge alone is not
enough. Knowledge with affirmation is not complete.
We must act. I want to share three simple ways you
can act on your faith in daily life.
1. Prayer. As you pray, God will continue to give
you words on which to stand. Affirm the promises
while you pray. The Holy Spirit will show you ways to
act on your faith regarding the situation about which
you are praying. We can work with God by praying
toward His will and His Kingdom purposes. Prayer is
vital, but alone it will not accomplish everything God
has chosen for us to do. Pray! But also,
2. Think. God expects us to use our minds too.
Read your Bible. Use your brain. Train it. The
renewed mind is powerful. It can ascertain the
perfect will of God. Expect God to use your renewed
mind. You have the mind of Christ. Think! And, also,
3. Work. We must work toward solutions. This
part also requires Spirit-energized self-discipline. For
the believer, with a renewed mind, work is powerful.
We are now co-laborers with God. Adam worked in
the Garden before the Fall. Christ has redeemed our
work. Many things will not happen by prayer alone.
We must think and work too. Work at everything you
have read in this book. It will work for you if you work
it. Work!
The preacher came up to the old farmer and
congratulated him on his fine garden. “My, what a
wonderful garden God has given you,” said the
minister. The old farmer looked back at him and
replied, “You should have seen it last year when He
took care of it all by Himself.”
