THE RENEWED MIND AND
DISCIPLESHIP

“ 31 Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed
Him, “If you remain in My word, then you are truly My
disciples. 32 You shall know the Truth, and the Truth
shall set you free.” John 8:31-32

We know the Truth, and it sets us free. God gives
us the Word we need. We must discipline ourselves
and keep the Truth in our hearts. We need a lifestyle
of affirming the promises. Affirm the promises
constantly.
Let’s consider three simple steps to success in
continually developing our affirmations and walking
in God's perfect will and the victory of a renewed
mind. We must choose to remain in His Word to be
His disciples.

1. KNOWLEDGE

“You shall know the truth.” Get the knowledge you
need. God has said, “My people are destroyed for lack
of knowledge.” (Hosea 4:6a) Every believer needs to
learn the Bible and be able to locate the promises of
God. We cannot stand on the Word if we do not know
it.

2. AFFIRMATION

This part is essential too. Be sure you are standing
on the promises that apply to your life and
situations. Get help and guidance from spiritual
advisors in this area as needed. Affirmation will
