 ROJAS HOUSE
GUANAJUATO, MÉXICO
To improve the views towards a large forested mountain located in front of the house, and to avoid obstructions in the parking area. A steel hexagonal structure was design allowing to transfer the weight of the first and second floors, away from the parking zone, clearing up space for a proper vehicular entry, and providing the kitchen and dining areas with an angled window, maximizing the mountain views.
The second floor holds a large open terrace facing the mountain, which is separated from the interior of the house by louvers, protecting the interior from excessive heating.
The majority of the house is made out of concrete, steel beams, wood, and glass, which supplies the residence with its distinctive contemporary appearance.
