SEPULVEDA HOUSE
LA RIOJA ALAVESA ZAPOPAN, JALISCO, MÉXICO
This project is located on an irregular shaped lot, which presented parking accessibility limitations, to this end, a not too intrusive support was required.
Two steel tubes in the shape of a ¨v¨ were placed to support the upper floor without interfering with the parking space.
This v shape column loads the entire front section of the house, which mostly consists of a large rectangular concrete volume, which is embraced at the same time by the rest of the structure.
The main entrance hall is enhanced with an indoor garden placed below the staircase, in a double-height area, producing an airiness feeling throughout the dining room and kitchen, which are contiguous to this part of the house.
A bridge crosses the main entrance hall, connecting the stairs with the bedrooms on the second floor.
The back of the house integrates two bedrooms and a media room, all shaped with a rectangular contour, despite the irregular shaped lot, optimizing internal space.
