Other ideas for marketing your ebook
In addition to the ideas laid out in the sections 1-4 of this guide, there are plenty of other ways that you can look at marketing your ebook, as outlined below.
BookBub
BookBub is a website that promotes scheduled, limited-time ebook price drops to its millions of followers. They email their members on a daily basis, letting them know about the latest deals. Several of our authors have paid to have their ebooks promoted through the site and have seen a considerable increase in sales during and after the promotion (although there’s no guarantee of this). BookBub is now available to UK readers as well as being available in the US, meaning that a much larger customer base can take advantage of its offers.
It is notoriously difficult to be accepted onto the site, despite the fact that it is a service that authors have to pay for in order to have their ebook featured. We are always happy to advise on the best ways to get your title noticed by the selectors, but our main tips would be to: provide a quality product, be flexible with your promotion dates, make it as cheap as possible (but no less than 99p) and persevere!
Having a high number of reviews on sites like Amazon will also work in your favour. There are more hints and tips available on their website: www.bookbub.com. Should you be accepted, we can arrange the price drops for you at no charge. Paid-for reviews from respected sites like The BookBag [http://www.thebookbag.co.uk/reviews/index.php?title=The_Bookbag] and Kirkus [https://www.kirkusreviews.com] can hold some sway because they are known to produce honest, impartial reviews..
