• Apps – short for ‘application’, downloaded by a user to a mobile smartphone. This is a self-contained program. Twitter, Facebook and Instagram all have apps.
• Character – a letter or a number.
• Direct Message – often referred to as a ‘DM’. This is a private message
sent between two users that no other users can see.
• Facebook fan – Facebook users who choose to receive your posts
from your Facebook Page. If you choose to ‘Like’ another user’s Page, you
will be notified about their posts and be their ‘fan’.
• Facebook friend – Facebook users who choose to view your posts
from your personal profile. If you become friends with another user, you
will be able to see their posts, and vice versa.

book. Any post you leave on your Page will appear on the News Feeds
of your Facebook fans.

• News Feed – On Facebook, your News Feed is made up of the posts of people that you follow/are friends with.
• Post – a text-based message which may contain links or other media.
