In 1888, after three DID YOU KNOW?

           years at Petersschule,
Albert began attending At the time in Germany, the

           another Munich word “gymnasium" didn't
                                              mean a place where students
school—Luitpold had gym class, but rather a
Gymnasium. He took school that prepared students
                                                     for college.
           many different courses
           and again earned good
           grades. He was not particularly

fond of all his classes, though. He did
not have a great interest in Greek and

Latin, for example. He did, however, enjoy
receiving instruction on the Hebrew language and

the Jewish faith in general. He eventually began
to study Christianity and read the Bible as well.

His favorite classes were those involving
mathematics and science. He would learn about

the branch of science called physics when he was
a little bit older. Through his theories in physics,

Albert would make his mark on history.

What is physics? The study of physical things, what happens
when they move around, and why they
                                move the way they do.
