It was likely a joyous time for him, not only
because of the warm American reception, but
also because, in 1919, he had married again.
The woman’s name was Elsa Löwenthal, and she
would remain faithfully at his side until her death
in 1936. Albert and Elsa stayed in America for
two months, starting in the northeastern area
and gradually making their way to the Midwest.
During this time, Albert gave lectures at some
of the most respected universities in the country,
including Columbia and Princeton. He was
also invited to the White House to visit
then-president Warren G. Harding.
When Albert visited New York
City in 1921, he was welcomed
by thousands of fans.
