Albert continued his journey throughout
the world, traveling to numerous countries
including France, Spain, and Japan. He also
made sure to use the attention he was suddenly
getting to highlight the importance of peace and
international cooperation. Years earlier, he made
it clear that he was disgusted by the horrors
of World War I. He was also angry at his
academic colleagues who supported it. In
1915, he wrote a paper unrelated to physics
titled, “My Opinion of the War.” In it, he
argued that a tendency toward violence in
males was the cause of warfare.
