BARC has been a leader in developing and supporting individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities
in employment services for over 40 years. Our Clients value working and earning a paycheck, and, over the years,
BARC has provided a continuum of job training, site/community based employment, and ongoing career support
to help our Clients fulfill their employment goals.
Federal and State mandates are moving towards community employment as the first option for individuals with
disabilities. BARC is whole-heartedly committed to developing job opportunities in typical workplace environ-
ments with coworkers who do not have disabilities.
BARC’s future is focusing our employment opportunities on Community Based Job Training, Tailor Day Program-
ming, Paid Internships, Individualized Supported Employment, Customized Employment and Micro-Enterprise.
The main goal of these programs is to allow our Clients integrated employment settings and work experiences and
wages that mirror individuals without disabilities.
We see a bright future where we continue our commitment to advocating for our Clients and their families as well
as offering new and exciting integrated work opportunities and wage earning potential.
