        On August  7 , 1847, he wrore to Brothei  Stanislaus  Lucas
        and Brother Paul Van Gerwen, who were in resid.ence
        at the St. Trond Normal  School,  directing  them to return
        home to Bruges at the close of the term. He explained
        that they could help wirh the annual Distribu-tion of
        Priz€s,  the demonstration  usually staged at the Town
        Hall to mark the close of another schiol year. He also
        told them that they were to be on hand for the annual
