the last thing I did in Louisville was to erect and give your
       Brothers a property  worth twenty thousand  dollars,  so the first
       thing I missed and thought  about in Baltimore  was tlre Xaver-
       ian Brothers. Could you give me a small  colony as a begin-
       ning? I would place them in St. Parick's  Parish,  where  they
       would be amply  supported and would have charge of the
