the opponent is a confirmed adaptive child, he is defenceless. Now might be the time to raise
anything in a wider sense that has been worrying you: (i.e. the ‘worst case’):
‘Stan, you know that last invoice you sent us, it was way over the top, wasn’t it. How about
cutting it by half?’

    The deep truth comes when you are a nurturing parent
    and the subject is an adaptive child

    There is no question that losing at golf is a deeply depressing experience that you should
avoid, unless you are playing against your chairman, the Information Commissioner or a
customer. By following our advice, ‘failure’ should not be in your lexicon.

Conclusions

You will note that even in the most important interactions, succeeding is 90 per cent planning
