Siggers meeting Marina Faggionato (QEB)
09.03.2020
Marina Faggionato
Louise Siggers
Anna Chenoweth
IS- Family hearing scheduled for March, moved to May. Didn't give evidence. No judgment,
barristers put all together, I didn't agree with any of it. Bullied into signing it.
MF- In variation proceedings you gave sworn evidence saying £500k was a loan.
LS- Didn't know what to say, ex husband threatened to steal it. Capable of doing that, I panicked.
Said Sig maybe I should take out and give back. Didn't know couldn't take money out anyway. said
I
lets make it a loan or he'll take it. He wouldn't go one way or another. I wasn't represented,
Anthony's lawyer gave me hard time, dad was really ill, diagnosed with brain tumour. Last minute
barrister, everything we got started from a nightmare. Did WhatsApp Sig from court, he still didn't
mention it
MF- Did you know before he put money in the account he was going to?
LS- Only on the morning. I was in the office working, about 4 days before Christmas. He came in, he
followed me round sometimes and hounded me which is why I sometimes recorded calls. He was
banging on about Christmas shopping, then said don't suppose you've got any money left this
month. I said no but done the shopping. He would keep twisting things. Then he said going to be
short every month now as paying for horse, Anthony wasn't paying Tom's maintenance as he was on
a gap year but was still at home.
Sig hating paying for anything he felt Anthony should pay for. He was ranting about Anthony, then
he said tempted to just pay off mortgage and get rid of him. He started mulling it over. All I said to
him is don't leave self short. He can be quite spontaneous. Couldn't afford for him to have no
income at all. He said no, no, he'd speak to mortgage company, spoke to them to give permission
I
and then left them on the phone. Then I got WhatsApp saying he'd paid in cheque and I could kick
him out then. That was it. No agreement, no nothing. He thought he was on a roll them. In original
court order one thing against me was to use best endeavours to get Anthony off mortgage-
mortgage now only £202k. When first order made was £700k and maintenance wasn't taken into
account as income- is now.
What Sig did lowered mortgage but didn't get rid of Anthony. Anthony then kicks off about saying
he'd go bankrupt. Thought could get mortgage in my name, that prompted Anthony to contact
mortgage company and discovered pay in of £500k. he told them we were having marital dispute
and money was marked and frozen.
MF- At that point money hadn't paid off mortgage, was in an offset account.
LS- Was a facility rather than an offset. Already trying to get £50k out to pay school fees and could
see Anthony would default.
