TWO SIDED LAMINATORS

High production, two-sided laminating is offered by trade laminators
and commercial printers with in-house finishing capabilities.
Commercial and industrial laminators run film up to 30” wide at speeds up to 65’ per minute. Almost all commercial
two-sided laminators have integrated feeders and sheet separators; most incorporate side trimmers with waste
rewinders creating an all-in-one total sheet finishing machine. Options available with commercial laminators include
variable speed, dual LCD heat controllers, forced air or cold water drum cooling, driven front and back rollers – all
features designed to enhance and improve the performance of these laminators.

Posters, banners, menus, reports and wall calendars are all examples of printed media that can be laminated in large
quantities when run on a commercial two-sided laminator.

SINGLE SIDED LAMINATORS

Single-sided laminating differs from two-sided laminating in that only one
side of the sheet is laminated. High-production runs of book covers use
thin-gauge films for a lay-flat finish. Packaging materials are also laminated
one-side for a more cost-effective finish.

WIDE FORMAT LAMINATORS

In the world of print, wide format refers to anything over 27” wide. It is
mostly used in the graphics market for posters, pop-ups, vehicle graphics,
exhibition stands, information boards, commercial signage and so on.
Wide format laminators work with thermal and pressure sensitive films for
both single-sided and two-sided encapsulating. Cortech’s wide format
laminators range in widths from 38” to 63” with rollers up to 5” diameter.
They are available as cold laminators, hot laminators and combination units
– often with roller gap adjustment and a take-up mandrel for mounting.
These large diameter rollers produce superior results as film and banner
