Q & A with J. Chase Holmes
Jonathan Chase Holmes is a Cleveland native dedicated to improving the quality of life for individuals through health education and fitness. He received his Masters’s degree in Exercise Science from Cleveland State University and is currently working toward a doctorate in Urban Education. In his current position as
a Program Manager in Community Relations for the Cleveland Clinic, Mr. Holmes primarily works at the Langston Hughes Community Health & Education Center, which provides free services to individuals in the communities that surround the main campus. He has been embedded in his work for nearly a decade, implementing programs focused on education, physical fitness, and youth outreach, along with developing methods to track positive outcomes. Mr. Holmes feels the best aspect of his job is the ability to serve the people in his own community.
Mindful Eating
Q & A with Susan Albers, PsyD
Dr. Albers is a Psychologist at the Women’s Health Center at the Wooster branch of Cleveland Clinic. At the Women’s Health Center, she provides individual counseling for women with depression, eating issues, relationship problems, sexual concerns and weight loss. Dr. Albers is also a New York Times bestselling author and has written nine books about mindful eating. She has been a guest on the Dr. Oz Show, NBC’s Today Show and NPR. Her books and tips have been featured in Shape, Prevention Magazine, Self, The New York Times, Fitness Magazine, People, Vanity Fair, Natural Health and the Wall Street Journal.
