How Your Card Works
The Health FSA debit card allows you to pay at point-of-sale for
approved out of-pocket expenses, such as prescriptions and
copays . The card can only be used for the Health FSA and is not
available for the Dependent Daycare FSA .
The card can be used at healthcare-related facilities, which
include hospitals, physicians oices, dental oices, and vision
oices.
Based on IRS regulations, PayFlex will request documentation
for ALL debit card claims, unless the transaction falls into one of
the following categories:
1 . Copay amounts: If your employer provides the necessary
information for your medical carrier, the copay amount will be
automatically approved. This is for ixed-dollar cost-sharing
amounts . If you are required to pay a percentage of the total
charge, additional substantiation will be required .
2 . Recurring expenses: You will need to submit your irst claim
manually and state this will be a recurring claim from the
same provider at the same dollar amount . It will be noted
on your account that this will be a recurring expense, and
additional substantiation will not be required for that plan
year .
3 . It is important to keep ALL receipts and supporting
documentation in the event PayFlex requests additional
substantiation or your debit card swipe does not fall into the
categories listed above .
Note: Current cardholders will not receive new debit cards for 2022; continue to access your
account through www.Paylex.com .
